Alice Kan
Alice is an engineer specialising in pharmaceutical manufacture, as well as running Kan Do Ventures, a consultancy offering project services and business improvement. At the start of the pandemic, many long-standing clients cancelled contracts, but within two months, Alice was approached to set up the fill-finish manufacture of the Oxford-AZ Covid-19 at a contract manufacturer.
Alice developed the vaccine manufacturing process at an unprecedented pace to deliver all 100 million doses for the UK. This once-in-a-lifetime experience inspired her to share her knowledge, as well as the power of a clear purpose at work, all while making significant contributions to vaccines manufacturing. Alice is currently working on manufacturing a vaccine for Ebola, which will be used in any future outbreaks.
