Shanella Rajanayagam is HSBC’s Trade Economist. She joined the bank in 2018, with her work focusing on shipping disruption, trade policy developments, and longer-term trends in trade such as supply chain relocation. She joined HSBC from the UK Treasury where she worked on a range of trade policy issues related to Brexit.
Prior to that, Shanella worked as an economist at the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
