Steve has held procurement leadership roles in both the private and public sectors. He is currently Head of Procurement at Essex County Council where his focus is social care. Steve leads all category management, sourcing and contract management for around £800m third party spend. He also sits on the Local Government Association’s National Advisory Group for procurement and is the outgoing chair of the Central Buying Consortium.
